Project #7: Natural Wood & Picture Frames Sculpture
Due date 1/10/20
Create a floor or wall sculpture combining natural wood and picture frame profiles. We have a TON of picture frame profiles in the wood shop for you to use. For the natural wood elements you will have to collect many of the same type of item for this project and figure out how to join those items together to make a sculpture
Natural wood suggestions: twigs, driftwood, branches, tree pods, roots, bamboo, caning, etc.
Possible solutions for joining: sewing, tying, bending, piercing, weaving, joining, glueing, stacking, using dowels, or whatever technique you come up with to make an object from your chosen materials. You can NOT use hot glue!
The Sculpture must be three-dimensional and stand and support itself on the floor or must project from the wall. At home and during the in-class workday you will try different techniques of arranging or joining your objects together to make one unified form.
Size Requirement:The sculpture must be a minimum of 4 feet long in at least one dimension.
