2D planar surfaces to 3D assemblage
Using only the sheets of paper and tools and materials
provided, create a fully 3 dimensional sculpture using assemblage techniques,
including but not limited to: cutting, tearing, folding, inserting, tying, gluing,
taping, sewing etc.
You must also incorporate one existing drawing/sketch of
your own from your sketchbook.
Objective:
Create a sculpture, which is at least 4’ in one dimension
and is able to support/stand/lean/project itself without any other supportive
aids. The piece must have a specific relationship to the floor and/or wall.
Incorporate at least 2 different assemblage techniques.
You have 90 minutes to complete the assignment.
