Using wire as your medium, you will create a 3 dimensional drawing. By bending, twisting, wrapping, or crimping your wire, you can create lines to describe the volume and texture of your form. Experiment with outline, contour line, and gesture to express your subject matter. Make drawings of each dimension of your subject matter in your sketch book before you begin sculpting.Subject matter: portrait head
Materials: Wire you were given in class, any other wire you can find, wire cutters, needle nose pliers, anything that will help you bend the wire, wooden stand

im sure there had to be an error in the due date because i was not aware of this assignment and the due date was before we had sculpture class so I would like to know when the project is due and maybe some insight on the project. This is Devin and I have an excused early release to show you guys next class(I had a follow-up doctors appointment). I also have pictures to send of my Art Basel influenced sculpture.

This is Devin again. I'm having major difficulty trying to create a head. Does it have to be all contour or does it need to have some form? I'm just confused on the assignment. I tried looking for models to pick up from on images and on the blog to give me an idea on how to make a head because I missed the instructions but I couldnt find any and on the blog there are 2 faces but they are 2-dimensional.
I leave so many comments on the blog but I almost done with my face but its more of an abstraction and less realistic. The eyes and mouth and nose are in the same place (there not moved around like in cubism) but it appears to be more of an abstraction because the figure of the head is wavy and the way the hair is plus the fact that its contour makes it looks abstract. I will send a photo to the email address you sent me and let me know if its ok if I take an abstract approach.

hey, ms.g I seem to have misplaced the form you gave me for the NY paper airplane. I dont know how this couldhave happened, this never happens.
